The City of Nelsonville Recreation Committee will be meeting on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 7:00 pm to discuss NatureWorks 25 grant, Hazard Mitigation grant, and other park issues.

The Public is invited to attend.


The City of Nelsonville is seeking information on the identity of the person(s) involved in the theft of Star Brick from the Downtown sidewalks. The bricks are City property and violators will be prosecuted.

The City Council for the City of Nelsonville will be holding its Regular Council meetings the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers.

The City of Nelsonville Government Offices will be closed Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Noon, Wednesday, December 25, 2019, and Thursday, December 26, 2019, for Christmas. The City Offices will re-open on Friday, December 27, 2019.

Closed Wednesday, January 1st for New Year's Day

The City of Nelsonville Government Offices will be closed Wednesday, January 1, 2020 for New Year’s Day. The City Offices will re-open on Thursday, January 2, 2020.


Rumpke will start trash pickup 2 hours earlier on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, and Thursday, December 26, 2019, due to Christmas.

This means Commercial pickup will start at 2:00 am and Residential will start at 4:00 am.

Starting Monday, December 9, 2019, at 7:00 am, Woodlane Drive will be closed for slip repair. George J. Igel and Co., Inc., contractors, estimate Woodlane Drive will be closed from December 9, 2019 to February 9, 2020 (up to 60 days).
