New Deadline: July 15, 2020

In alignment with the revised federal income tax deadline, annual City of Nelsonville income tax returns now have an extended deadline of July 15th, 2020.


Resuming Wednesday, April 15 at 6:00 pm

Due to Governor DeWine issuing an Executive Order declaring a state of emergency; the World Health Organization officially declaring COVID-19 to be a global “pandemic” requiring “urgent and aggressive action” to control the spread of the virus; President Trump issued a proclamation declaring a national emergency and The Director of Ohio Department of Health issued an amended order to limit and/or prohibit mass gatherings and the closure of venues in the State of Ohio.

The City of Nelsonville Mayor’s Court hereby continues all matters now pending before court until Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 6:00 pm.


Until the April 13, 2020 Council Meeting

Due to Governor DeWine’s recommendations on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nelsonville City Council will postpone meeting until the April 13, 2020 council meeting.


Week of March 15th

All City Council Committee Meetings scheduled this week are CANCELLED.


Home of the Month Program

We are pleased to honor those homeowners who invest their time and financial resources in keeping their home attractive. Nelsonville is a beautiful city with many wonderful homes, from bungalows to Victorian mansions. As a City we believe, it is our “privilege to honor these homes.” We will honor these homes from April through November, selecting a different home from our pool of submissions once a month.

Rescheduled for Wednesday, March 25th

On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 6:00 pm, the City of Nelsonville Mayors Court has been cancelled and reschedule for March 25, 2020.

Monday, March 16 at 7 pm

The Nelsonville City Council Finance Committee will hold a meeting Monday, March 16, 2020 at 7:00 PM in City Hall Council Chambers. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss city finances.
