Nelsonville Recreation Youth Baseball & Softball league to follow ODH COVID-19 guidance for all participants and spectators
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Nelsonville announces that the 2021 Nelsonville Recreation Youth Baseball and Softball league will follow the Ohio Youth, Collegiate, Amateur, Club, and Professional Sports COVID-19 guidance from the Ohio Department of Health. All participants and spectators are expected to follow this guidance at all fields and games. We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation and dedication to Nelsonville youth.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Nelsonville, 211 Lake Hope Drive Nelsonville Ohio 45764 at its offices until 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 28th 2021, and will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter for the “Water System Improvements 2021 - Meters”.
The Project work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment in accordance with the contract documents. Project cost estimate is $1,325,000.00.
Bid documents may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $75.00 per set at the following location:

Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond as required by Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code in an amount equal to the sum of the bid submitted by each contractor. In lieu of posting the bond, a bidder may use a Cashier’s Check, Certified Check or Letter of Credit for ten percent of the Contractor’s bid as bid security. When a check or letter of credit is used, the bidder shall be required to post a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Labor and Material Payment Bond, upon the signing of the contract.
Federal Prevailing Wage Rates and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements are applicable to this project.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and the right to accept the lowest and best bid, the right to waiver minor irregularities on any bid, and the right to accept the bid proposal which promotes the best interest of the Owner.
Failure to submit the Bid Guaranty Bond and the required notarized affidavits with the bid shall be cause for considering the bid sub mission incomplete and for the rejection of the bid. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123.2, the Governors Executive Order of 1/27/72, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES.
Material must comply with the American Iron & Steel (AIS) Requirement of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014 (Public Law 113-76).

Road Closure: Church Street
Monday, April 12 through approximately Monday, June 21
The City of Nelsonville announces that Church Street will be closed starting Monday, April 12, 2021 until approximately Monday, June 21, 2021. The street will be open to local and emergency vehicles only. During working hours expect delays. The street is being closed for the repair of a land slip affecting the street. Please avoid this area and use an alternate route.
