The Nelsonville City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 7:30 PM, at City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to inform Council and the public regarding the charter initiative measure appearing on the November 5, 2024, ballot and to provide a limited public forum for public discussion and provide Council an opportunity to discuss.

Any member of the public wishing to make public comment shall email Council Clerk at councilclerk@cityofnelsonville.com no later than 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024 to ensure sufficient time is allocated for public comment and facilitate public comment. If a person does not notify Council Clerk by the time specified above, there may not be time for such person to make public comment.

• Call the meeting to order.
• Pledge of Allegiance.
• Prayer.
• Roll call.
• Brief summary of ground rules for public participation and Council discussion (City Attorney to present at the instruction of Council).
• Public comment (3 minutes per person)
• Reports of the City Attorney and the City Auditor.
• Council discussion (5 minutes per Member).
• Adjourn meeting.
